A frosty autumn morning on a nearby hilltop farm in my town. This was based on another picture I took......perfect, crisp morning....cows were mooing. Size 11" x 14."
note: Crappy photog work as I did not mean to catch part of the matte in the pic....
don't make me blush - i haven't the time ......kidding of course - that's me - very conscious of the details and like to take life lightly. You yourself have some amazing work.....I was crashing thru ur work and I saw one titled LIONESS - very wonderfully done, yet familiar......I've seen that pose before - perhaps a fashion ad with Natalie Portman as the subject/model holding hat over breast (??) - nontheless, love it....do u display your works?
I can tell that you have read many a magazines in your search for the correct colours and patterns for your work. You have been the first person to recognise that it's an ad! [Not to mention the first to make comment on the painting].
It is, in fact, an ad for Chanel's 'Coco Mademoiselle', with a nude Kiera Knightley as the model.
Everything in my painting is pretty much the same; besides her head and the sausages [originally white fabric] and the background.
I don't display my works, really. I have entered some competitions in order to get some of my work viewed, and some works have gone to friends; but other then that, no.
The thing is, I just get too attached to let them out of my sight.
I suppose most of your work would be displayed somewhere (?)
oh keira knightly....I was close....actually most of my work is hanging around my dining room. I too have separation issues with my work....wish I stil had my swiss army knife piece but it's in a good home and I made some decent money off it.
Thank you. They are definitely a lot of work but to watch peoples' reactions it's all worth it. Most people at art shows will mistake my work from a distance as oil - but as they get closer I watch their faces wrinkle up and their index fingers always rise up to the piece as they begin to study the work.
